Make Ahead French Toast

Ingredients:

  • 12 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 12 slices bread
  • 1/4 cup butter

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 500.
  2. Beat eggs and milk until well blended.
  3. Pour half of the egg mixture into a rectangular baking pan.
  4. Place 6 bread slices in egg mixture then turn slices and let stand until mixture absorbs. Place on heavily buttered baking sheet.
  5. Repeat with remaining egg mixture and bread slices.
  6. Bake 6 minutes then turn slices.
  7. Spread with butter if desired.
  8. Continue baking until golden brown about 4 minutes.
  9. Serve immediately or freeze for later use.
