Lemon Cream And Truffle Tart

Ingredients:

  • for the tart
  • for the filling
  • 1 envelope unflavored gelatin
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 2 8- oz packages cream cheese
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 cups thawed frozen whipped topping
  • for decoration

Directions:

  1. FOR THE SHELL
  2. Buy or bake your favorite pie shell (choose one that goes with lemon, plain cookie crumb will be perfect)
  3. FOR THE FILLING
  4. 1.Stir the gelatin in water, and microwave for 40 seconds or until the gelatin is dissolved.
  5. 2.Combine cream cheese and sugar, mix until well blended.
  6. 3. Gradually add gelatin, milk , juice and peel.
  7. 4.mix until well blended.
  8. 5.Beat with electric mixer until smooth.
  9. 6.Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  10. 7. Fold egg whites and whipped topping into cream cheese mixture.
  11. 8.Pour into pie crust. (leaving about 1/2 cup for garnishing with the pipe all around the tart)
  12. 9.Chill for about 1 hr. or until firm.
  13. FOR DECORATION
  14. 1. Freeze 15 dark chocolate truffles 1 day before you prepare the tart, so that you can grate them.
  15. 2.Grate the truffles and sprinkle all over the tart.
  16. READY, ENJOY!
