Ingredients:

  • 2 cups soy sauce
  • 5/8 cup cups molasses
  • 1 1/4 cups brown sugar
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 slices ginger
  • 1/4 tsp liquid smoke
  • 1 torn bay leaf

Directions:

  1. Place all ingredtients into a saucepan, and bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce to a simmer and simmer until thickened for 10 minutes.
  3. Stirring every now and then, check for seasoning.
  4. Remove from heat, and strain.
  5. Bottle and refrigerate.
  6. Will keep in fridge for a few months and makes 3 cups.
  7. This is supposed to be sweet.
  8. I have added at times, a teaspoon of tomato paste if I had it opened in the fridge, but that is very optional.
