Homemade Caramel Corn

Ingredients:

  • 1 (3 1/2 oz) bag microwave popcorn
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp corn syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda

Directions:

  1. Also need microwave-safe bowl and paper sack twice the size of the cooked bag popcorn.
  2. Pour cooked bag of microwave popcorn into small to medium size paper bag & set aside.
  3. In bowl, stir melted margarine, sugar, corn syrup & vanilla and microwave for 2 minutes.
  4. Add baking soda and stir well.
  5. Pour bowl’s mixture into paper sack of popcorn.
  6. Both shake and stir well.
  7. Put entire sack in microwave for 1 minute and then shake again.
  8. Pour over cookie sheet to cool.
