Ingredients:

  • 1 cup margarine
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp corn syrup
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 cups oatmeal
  • 1/3 cup boiling water

Directions:

  1. Combine margarine, sugars, syrup, and vanilla. Beat until creamy. Add in flour, and baking soda. Mix well. Add boiling water and oatmeal. Stir until well blended. Mix in chocolate chips.
  2. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a cookie sheet.
