Friendship Banana Nut Bread

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup shortening
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup friendship active starter
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F; grease& flour 2 loaf pans& set aside.
  2. Sift together dry ingredients.
  3. Cream shortening, sugar and bananas; add Friendship starter& eggs, mixing well.
  4. Add dry ingredients and nuts.
  5. Pour batter into prepared loaf pans& bake for 40 minutes or until done.
