Ingredients:

  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup plus 2 tbsp butter
  • 3/4 to 1 cup half-and-half cream
  • 1/2 cup fresh daisy petals

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 450°. Sift flour; measure and sift again with baking powder, soda and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal. Add cream and daisy petals, mixing just enough to moisten. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface; knead quickly 8 to 10 times. Pat or roll out to desired thickness. Cut with biscuit cutter. Bake on greased baking sheet 10 to 15 minutes. Yield: 12 to 14 biscuits.
