Cream Tea Scones

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 3 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 3 tbsp. white sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 5 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Directions:

  1. Sift together flour, baking powder, sugar and salt
  2. Add Butter and mix with pastry cutter (or your hands) until mixture is finely crumbled
  3. Pour eggs and cream into centre and knead
  4. Cut with biscuit cutter or a glass
  5. Sprinkle tops with large granule sugar
  6. Bake for 15 minutes at 400F
