Cranberry Gingerbread Machine Mix

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 (1/4 oz) package dry active yeast

Directions:

  1. Place flour,sugar,ginger and salt in 1 quart glass jar or resealable plastic storage bag.
  2. Place cranberries in plastic storage bag.
  3. Attach cranberries and yeast package to the mix.

  6. Remove 1/4 tsp yeast from package and discard.
  7. Place remaining yeast in bread machine pan.
  8. Cover yeast with cranberry ginger bread machine mix. (Do not add cranberries).
  9. Pour 1 cup plus 1 tbsp water over flour mixture.
  10. Add 2 tbsp butter or margarine to the pan.
  11. Close lid.
  12. Select Sweet or basic white cycle.
  13. Use medium or light crust color.
  14. Do not use delay cycle.
  15. Add cranberries at the beep signal or 5 minutes before last kneading cycle ends.
  16. Remove baked bread from pan; cool on wire rack.
