Baked Ziti With Ground Turkey

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Cook ziti pasta al dente.
  2. In large skillet, brown the chopped onion and ground turkey. Add the minced garlic as the turkey begins to brown. Add the spaghetti sauce and simmer for approximately 15 minute.
  3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  4. Butter or grease in your preferred way a 9 x 13 baking dish.
  5. Layer the ingredients as follows:.
  6. - spread some sauce as the bottom layer to help prevent sticking.
  7. -add 1/2 the ziti pasta.
  8. - layer the slices of provolone cheese to cover the ziti.
  9. -add sour cream.
  10. -add 1/2 the sauce mixture.
  11. -add remaining ziti.
  12. -add1/2 the mozzarella cheese to cover.
  13. -add remaining sauce on top.
  14. -add remaining mozzarella to cover.
  15. -add parmesean on top if desired (I found it not to be necessary).
  16. -bake in the covered dish for 30 minutes 350 degrees.
