Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp butter or margarine
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3/4 cup slivered almonds, toasted
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Directions:

  1. Snap off tough ends of asparagus. Cook asparagus in boiling water to cover 3 minutes or until crisp-tender; drain.
  2. Plunge asparagus into ice water to stop the cooking process; drain.
  3. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat; add asparagus, and sauté 3 to 5 minutes. Toss asparagus with lemon juice and remaining ingredients.
