Tre's Chile Rellenos (Stuffed Green Chiles)

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Heat 3 or 4 inches of oil in a deep frying pan until hot.
  2. Slit each chile open below stems on one side. Remove seeds if desired.
  3. Insert the cheese strips into each chile.
  4. Combine dry batter ingredients in bowl.
  5. In another bowl, mix milk and eggs.
  6. Roll each relleno in dry mixture, coating well. Dip in egg mixture, roll again in dry mixture and coat well.
  7. Fry in deep, hot oil until golden brown.
  8. Drain on paper towels.
  9. Top with chili and shredded cheese, then serve!
