Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. In a big saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Add in the onion and carrot; cover.
  3. Cook for 5 minutes or until veggies are softened.
  4. Uncover saucepan and add in the pears.
  5. Cook, uncovered for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until the onion is golden brown.
  6. Add in the remaining ingredients and bring mixture to a boil.
  7. Lower the heat to medium-low; cover.
  8. Cook, stirring frequently, for 50 minutes to 1 hour or until the cabbage is tender.
  9. Increase the heat to med-high and cook, stirring frequently until the liquid is evaporated.
  10. Serve hot.
