Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 -3 large carrots
  • 1/2 cup sultana
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp tomato sauce

Directions:

  1. Mix 2 tblsp flour with 1 tsp each of mustard, ginger, curry powder and mixed spice.
  2. Roll meat cubes in the mixture and place in casserole dish.
  3. Slice the onion and mix in with the meat
  4. Peel and cut the carrots into big chunks and mix in with the meat.
  5. Mix in 1/2 cup sultanas.
  6. TO MAKE THE SAUCE
  7. Mix 2 tbsp worcestershire sauce, 1 tbsp vinegar, 1 1/4 cups water, 1 tsp sugar, 1tsp salt, and 4 tblspn tomato sauce and pour over the beef.
  8. Cover and cook in a pre-heated oven at 200 degrees for 1 1/2 - 2 hours.
