Sour Cream And Chive Biscuits

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/3 cup shortening
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup milk

Directions:

  1. Combine dry ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. With a fork, stir in sour cream, milk and chives until the mixture forms a ball.
  4. On a floured surface, knead 5 to 6 times.
  5. Roll to 3/4-inch thickness; cut with a 2-inch biscuit cutter.
  6. Place on ungreased baking sheet.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Makes 12 to 15 biscuits.
