Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 180.c, and prepare the base by mixing together the almonds,sugar,flour,egg whites and essence.
  2. Line the base of a 22cm tin with cooking paper, spoon mixture in and spread out base.Bake for 25mins until rich and golden in colour...leave to cool.
  3. Topping: melt the chocolate with 125mls water,then cool.....toast the hazelnuts and almonds, chop roughly, and cream butter....then beat in melted chocolate,nuts and brandy.
  4. Whip 215mls of the cream until it begins to thicken...fold into the chocolate mixture and pour onto the base, smooth over, cover and chill until firm.
  5. Glaze:
  6. Melt together butter,chocolate,and milk...cool.pour over torte in tin.
  7. Spoon little blobs of cream at regular intervals around edge, and then using the tip of a fine skewer,swirl in the cream...chill to allow glaze to set....then run a knife around the tin and remove!
