Red Cabbage Green Apples And Crisp Bacon

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Cook bacon strips until crisp then remove and reserve.
  2. Remove all but 4 tablespoons of the bacon fat from the pan and add the cabbage.
  3. Cook over medium heat for 10 minutes.
  4. Stir in the remaining ingredients and simmer covered for 1 hour.
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Just before serving sprinkle with reserved bacon.
