Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 2 cups water
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups raisins
  • 1/2 cup nuts

Directions:

  1. Cover raisins with water simmer
  2. Measure out 1 cup of raisin water
  3. Sift dry ingredients together
  4. Creeam shortening and sugar
  5. Add flavorings if you have them add eggs
  6. Add raisin liquid
  7. Add dry ingredients
  8. Add cooked raisins and nuts
  9. Spread 1/2 inch on cookie sheet bake 350 for 30 minutes
  10. In guessing that she made a cream frosting for these but its not on a very sketchy recipe.
