Poached Pears With Butterscotch Sauce

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Place wine and sugar in a saucepan and stir until dissolved.
  2. Add pears then cover and simmer gently for 15 minutes turning occasionally.
  3. Remove from pan and allow to cool.
  4. Melt butter, brown sugar and syrup in a saucepan stirring occasionally.
  5. Boil for 3 minutes then stir in the cream.
  6. Serve the sauce hot or cold with the pears.
