Peaches in Primitivo Syrup (Mario Batali)

Ingredients:

  • 1 clove
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups primitivo di gioia, a dry red wine from puglia

Directions:

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine clove, sugar and red wine and heat until sugar is dissolved, about 10 minutes. Cool and keep covered. Peel and slice peaches and divide among 4 wine glasses. Pour 1/4 cup syrup over each peach and serve immediately with biscotti.
