Peach Crisp With  Maple Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar , packed
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 8 medium fresh peaches (5-6 cups)
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 lemon , juice and rind of
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1 1/2 cups whipping cream

Directions:

  1. To prepare CRISP:.
  2. Combine flour, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg and salt.
  3. Cut in butter with pastry blender till crumbly.
  4. Combine peaches with maple syrup, lemon juice and rind.
  5. Place in 9 square pan.
  6. Sprinkle with crumb mixture.
  7. Cover with foil and bake at 375* for 30 minutes.
  8. Remove foil and bake 15 minutes more.
  9. To prepare MAPLE SAUCE:.
  10. Combine ingredients and simmer for 30 minutes or until thickened and reduced.
  11. Chill.
