Peach Crisp With Maple Sauce |

the maple sauce really makes a difference..to me, this is comfort food Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour |
1/2 cup granulated sugar |
1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup butter |
8 medium fresh peaches (5-6 cups) |
2 tablespoons maple syrup |
1/2 lemon, juice and rind of |
1/3 cup maple syrup |
1 1/2 cups whipping cream |
3 tablespoons light corn syrup |
Directions:
1. to prepare CRISP:. 2. combine flour, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg and salt. 3. cut in butter with pastry blender till crumbly. 4. Combine peaches with maple syrup, lemon juice and rind. 5. Place in 9 square pan. 6. Sprinkle with crumb mixture. 7. Cover with foil and bake at 375* for 30 minutes. 8. Remove foil and bake 15 minutes more. 9. to prepare MAPLE SAUCE:. 10. combine ingredients and simmer for 30 minutes or until thickened and reduced. 11. Chill. |
