Hard Times Chocolate Cake

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 3 tbsp cocoa
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3 tbsp cocoa

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 350*.
  2. Stir together first 5 ingredients.
  3. Add flour, sugar, soda and salt.
  4. Stir until mixed well.
  5. Pour into greased and floured 9x13 baking pan.
  6. Bake for 40 minutes.
  7. Frosting: Beat all ingredients until smooth and creamy.
  8. Frost completely cooled cake.
