Chicken With Curry Dill Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp butter or 2 tbsp margarine
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • pepper , to taste
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tsp dill weed
  • 1/4 tsp curry powder

Directions:

  1. In saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and add the flour, salt and pepper; stir until smooth. Cook and stir a minute or two to lose the flour taste.
  2. Gradually add milk and bring to a boil.
  3. Boil and stir for 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
  4. Add the mayonnaise, dill and curry and stir until smooth. Set aside.
  5. In a skillet over medium heat, brown chicken in oil. Place in a greased shallow 3-qt. baking dish.
  6. Pour sauce over chicken.
  7. Bake, uncovered, at 350 for 50-60 minutes or until meat juices run clear.
