Ingredients:

  • 4 cup. of apple juice
  • 1 (1 3/4 oz) package of fruit pectin
  • 4 1/2 cup. of sugar
  • 1/2 cup. of red-hot candies

Directions:

  1. First you want to combine juice, candy and pectin in a large pot.
  2. Then you can bring to a full boil over high flame, stirring constantly.
  3. Now stir in sugar.
  4. Then let this return to a full boil.
  5. Boil for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  6. Next you will remove from heat.
  7. You do want to skim off foam and unmelted candy.
  8. Then pour hot liquid into hot jars, leaving 1/4 in. head space.
  9. Adjust lids.
  10. You need to Process for approx. 5 minutes in boiling water bath
