Ingredients:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 350.
  2. Generously greas and flour shortcake pan; set aside.
  3. In large bowl, combine all ingrediants.
  4. Blend at low speed until moistened; beat 2 minutes on medium speed, scraping bowl often.
  5. Pour batter into pan, dividing evenly.
  6. Bake at 350 for 18-20 minutes.
  7. Let cool 10 minutes in pan; invert onto cooling rack and cool completely.
  8. Serve with topping of your choice.
