Turnip And Apple Bake

Ingredients:

  • filling
  • 1 large turnip
  • 1 tsp. butter
  • 1/4 cup. brown sugar
  • pinch of cinnamon
  • crust
  • 1/3 cup. flour
  • 1/3 cup. brown sugar
  • 2 tsp. butter

Directions:

  1. Peel, dice and cook, drain and mash the turnip with the butter.
  2. Peel and slice the apples.
  3. Toss with the brown sugar and cinnamon. arrange in a greased small casserole dish ( I would use a loaf pan), turnips and apples, in alternating layers, beginning and ending with the turnips.
  4. Combine the crust ingredients into a crumbly mixture and pat on top of the casserole.
  5. Bake at 350º for 1 hour.
  6. Super good!
