Ingredients:

  • 3 large potatoes
  • 1 egg
  • 2 -3 tbsp flour
  • 1 pinch salt

Directions:

  1. Peel the pototoes and put them through the food processor, avoid overprocessing they should still have some texture. In the bowl combine processed pototoes, egg, flour and salt.
  2. Fry in the hot pan with plenty of vegetable oil. Put a tbls of dough in the pan and flatten in to ab. 1/4 , turn and fry the other side, it will give you very crunchy latkes.
  3. Serve fresh or keep in the oven for a while.
  4. They can be served in many ways: my husband likes them just with sugar, they good with sour cream and sugar, I like them with creamed cheese mixed with sour cream, green onion and salt. They can be served with gulash as well (in Poland they called Hungarien Latkes).
  5. Enjoy.
