Swan Drug Cafe Tomato Dill Soup

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup chopped dill
  • 4 cups milk
  • 4 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/8 cup chopped dill

Directions:

  1. Sprinkle tomatoes with sugar; set aside.
  2. Melt butter and saute green onions.
  3. Add parsley, dill, tomatoes, salt and pepper. Cook over medium heat.
  4. Add chicken stock.
  5. Whip milk and flour until smooth.
  6. Pour slowly into soup.
  7. Combine dumpling ingredients.
  8. Drop by teaspoon; boil until dumplings come to top.
  9. To serve, place a spoonful of sour cream in bottom of bowl, ladle soup over; garnish with dill.
