Stumps Banana Nut Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup shortening
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Directions:

  1. Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Beat shortening, slowly add sugar.
  3. Beat eggs until light then add to shortening mixture.
  4. Beat entire mixture.
  5. Add bananas alternately with flour. Stir in nuts.
  6. Bake in a 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 3 pan at 350 degrees for 1hr.10mins.
