Stove-Top Baked Apples

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 dash cinnamon
  • 2 large baking apples
  • 1/2 cup water

Directions:

  1. Core apples. place in a medium saucepan.
  2. Add water.
  3. Pour half of sugar into center of each apple.
  4. Dab with butter.
  5. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
  6. Cook covered over medium heat.
  7. Bring to a boil.
  8. Reduce heat and simmer until tender, about 20 minutes.
  9. Serve warm.
