Ingredients:

  • 1-1/2 cups sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup raisins

Directions:

  1. Stir together flour, salt, sugar, baking powder and allspice then add milk, egg and butter.
  2. Mix thoroughly then stir in raisins and turn into greased and floured square cake pan.
  3. Mix together 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon then sprinkle over top of cake.
  4. Let stand 5 minutes then bake in preheated 350 oven for 30 minutes.
  5. Cool slightly then serve warm.
