Ingredients:

  • 4 eggs
  • 2/3 cup. butter
  • 3 cup. sugar
  • 1 15 oz. can pumpkin
  • 3 cup. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Directions:

  1. Cream the butter and sugar together.
  2. Add the eggs and pumpkin and mix well.
  3. Add the dry ingredients and mix well.
  4. Stir in the nuts. (I often use nuts in one loaf, and leave the other plain because my kids prefer it without nuts.)
  5. Pour into 2 greased loaf pans.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Test with a toothpick.
