Poppyseed Dressing - Spinach Salad

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups canola oil
  • 3/4 cup sugar (adjust amount to your own taste)
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tbsp. dry mustard
  • 1 tbsp. garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp. poppy seeds

Directions:

  1. Whisk all the Poppy seed dressing ingredients together until they are thoroughly blended.
  2. Salad
  3. Note: Suggesting that you keep your salad simple.
  4. These are the ingredients I like to use in my own salad.

  7. Spinach - Washed, dried, and free of stems
  8. Head lettuce - I use only 1/4th the amount as the spinach
  9. Eggs - Hard boiled & chopped into large pieces
  10. Bacon - Fried, drained and crumbled into large pieces
  11. Onions, Red sliced, or use green chopped.
  12. Mushrooms - sliced
  13. Ground pepper

  15. This dressing will keep well in the refrigerator up to two weeks in a tight lid container. Just give it a good shake now and then.
