This recipe is all about the yummy dressing. Everyone who tried it loves it!. This is not a wilted spinach salad making it a great salad for a potluck. etc. Throw the salad ingredients into baggies, pour the dressing into a jar and your good to go! Read more ! Enjoy! Ingredients:
poppy seed dressing (makes about 2 pints) |
2 cups canola oil |
1 cup cider vinegar |
3/4 cup sugar (adjust amount to your own taste) |
1 1/2 tsp. salt |
1 tbsp. dry mustard |
1 tbsp. garlic powder |
2 tbsp. poppy seeds |
Directions:
1. Whisk all the Poppy seed dressing ingredients together until they are thoroughly blended. 2. Salad 3. Note: Suggesting that you keep your salad simple. 4. These are the ingredients I like to use in my own salad. 5. Note: Amounts are not listed 6. - 7. Spinach - Washed, dried, and free of stems 8. Head lettuce - I use only 1/4th the amount as the spinach 9. Eggs - Hard boiled & chopped into large pieces 10. Bacon - Fried, drained and crumbled into large pieces 11. Onions, Red sliced, or use green chopped. 12. Mushrooms - sliced 13. Ground pepper 14. - 15. This dressing will keep well in the refrigerator up to two weeks in a tight lid container. Just give it a good shake now and then. |
