  1. .Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease a 9x13 inch pan.
  3. Saute onions in butter.
  4. Mix 1/2 of onion mixture, potatoes and cheese.
  5. Put a layer of noodles in greased pan.
  6. Top with 1/3 of potato mixture.
  7. Repeat until there are 3 potato layers and.
  8. 4 noodle layers.
  9. Bake 350 degrees for 1 hour.
  10. Let rest 10 minutes before cutting.
