Pastitso (Almost Like Lasagna)

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350'.
  2. IN LARGE POT.
  3. Boil pasta according to package directions.
  4. IN SKILLET OR FRY PAN.
  5. Brown beef
  6. Add tomato sauce.
  7. Add garlic.
  8. Salt and pepper (to personal taste).
  9. IN ANOTHER SAUCEPAN.
  10. Melt butter.
  11. Add flour.
  12. Add milk slowly.
  13. Stir constantly with whisk.
  14. Lower heat when sauce begins to bubble.
  15. Keep stirring until thick.
  16. Remove from heat and set aside.
  17. Strain cooked pasta.
  18. Add back to empty pot.
  19. Add eggs and the cheese.
  20. Mix well until evenly coated.
  21. Spray vegetable oil in rectangular baking dish.
  22. Add 1/2 pasta
  23. Add meat sauce.
  24. Add rest of pasta.
  25. Top with cream sauce.
  26. Place aluminum baking tray under baking dish.
  27. Before placing in oven incase of spills.
  28. Bake at 350' for 1 hour.
