Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups oatmeal
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda in 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Mix together brown sugar and butter and vanilla. Mix in the oatmeal. Mix in the soda mixture. Sift together flour and salt. Blend in together with liquid mixture.
  2. Drop by teaspoonful onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Press down with a fork dipped in milk. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 350F for 10- 12 minutes.
