Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/3 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk

Directions:

  1. Cream shortening and sugar.
  2. Add egg and beat.
  3. Mix dry ingredients and alternately with milk.
  4. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
  5. Don't use muffin papers...best to bake in greased muffin tin.
