Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 1 cup mashed ripe banana (2 or 3 bananas)
  • 1/2 cup nuts (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Beat butter, sugar and egg with beater until fluffy.
  3. Sift or mix together flour, baking powder, and baking soda.
  4. Add dry mixture to butter mixture, along with mashed bananas and milk; stir well.
  5. Add nuts if desired.
  6. Put in loaf pan and bake for 1 hour.
