Directions:

  1. Sift together flour, baking powder, soda, and salt in a medium mixing bowl; make a well in center of mixture. Add egg, buttermilk, molasses, and butter; stir just until dry ingredients are moistened.
  2. Heat well-greased muffin pans in a 400° oven for 3 minutes or until very hot. Spoon batter into hot muffin pans, filling two-thirds full. Bake at 400° for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
