Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/3 cup cocoa
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt butter and 1/2 cup chocolate chips over low heat. Remove from heat.
  3. Stir in coffee, cool 5 minutes.Stir in sugars, eggs and vanilla.
  4. In a medium mixing bowl combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Stir into coffee mixture.
  5. Stir in the 1 cup chocolate chips.
  6. Drop dough by rounded tablesppons onto lightly greased cookie sheets.
  7. Bake for 10 minutes, let cool one minute before removing from sheets.
