Ingredients:

  • 8 -10 slices white bread
  • 1 (4 oz) bottle of white all-purpose glue

Directions:

  1. Trim the crust away from the bread.
  2. Pinch the bread into very small pieces.
  3. Slowly pour the glue into the bread pieces and mix by hand until a dough has formed.
  4. Package the dough in a plastic bag or airtight container and refrigerate overnight to ripen. .
  5. Lightly coat your hands with vegetable oil if dough is not too sticky to handle.
  6. Knead the ripened dough until smooth and pliable.
  7. Divide dough and color with food coloring or acrylic paints if desired.
  8. The addition of the liquid in the form of coloring will cause the dough to become a little sticky again, but just keep on working the dough - it will regain its manageable state.
  9. Model dough into desired shapes and insert twisted pipe cleaners into the backs of your figures for hanging or simply form a hole with a toothpick.
  10. Air dry on wax paper.
  11. It will take from 1 to 3 days, depending on the thickness of your ornament.
  12. Can also roll and cut this clay.
  13. Keep in airtight container in refrigerator.
