Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Cream together butter, sugar, and add eggs.
  2. Sift together spices and flour.
  3. Mix buttermilk and baking soda.
  4. Add flour and liquid alternately.
  5. Fold in jam, raisins and nuts.
  6. Bake in 4 layers at 350 degrees F for 30 to 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center of each layer comes out clean.
  7. For filling:.
  8. Cook yolks, sugar and orange juice in double boiler until thick.
  9. Fold in nuts, coconut, and raisins.
  10. Put filling between each layer of cake and on top of cake.
