Ingredients:

  • in small bowl combine the following
  • 2 package yeast (2 tsp)
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2/3 cups oil
  • 3/4 cup honey
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 7-8 cups flour

Directions:

  1. In small bowl combine the following
  2. 2 pkg yeast
  3. 1 cup warm water
  4. 1 t sugar -
  5. Let that stand in small bowl until bubbles (5 min)
  6. In large bowl
  7. 2 cups milk
  8. 2/3 cups oil
  9. 3/4 cup honey
  10. 2 t. salt
  11. 2 eggs (beaten)
  12. Mix this together and then add yeast mixture. Add 8 cups flour.
  13. Start with 7 cups and add kneed in more if needed.
  14. Kneed bread until smooth (7 min or so)
  15. If you have a stand mixer....use dough hook...and let it kneed for 5-6 min until dough is smooth!
  16. Put dough in a large greased bowl
  17. Microwave 1 cup of water in glass until boiling (2 min)
  18. Place dough in cool oven and set the cup of water in with it.
  19. Let rise for 1 hour or so….(until double)
  20. Shape to the size you wish. Place in greased pans. (shortening)
  21. I like to use the round cake pans.
  22. Let rise until double.
  23. Bake at 400 for 15 min until tops are golden brown.
  24. (check at 12 min or so depending on size of rolls)
  25. Makes aprox 4 dozen
  26. Brush with melted butter - this makes the tops nice!
