Gramma's Fudge Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 tbsp cocoa
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
  • 1 tbsp butter or 1 tbsp margarine, softened
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 1/4 cups icing sugar
  • 1 tbsp cocoa
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Mix together eggs, butter, sugar and vanilla.
  2. Add flour, cocoa and bakingg powder.
  3. Add walnuts.
  4. Bake in lightly greased 8x8 pan at 350F for 25-30 minutes.
  5. Icing: Mix all ingredients together until smooth.
  6. Spread over cake when cooled.
