Ingredients:

  • 3 lbs. ground chuck
  • 1 pk of wick fowlers chili mix
  • 3-8 oz. cans of tomato sauce
  • 1-8 oz. can of water
  • 1-15 oz. can of thrifty maid mexican style chili beans

Directions:

  1. Use an 8 qt. stock pot.
  2. Brown 3 lbs. of ground chuck. Drain off the grease and put into the 8 qt. stock pot.
  3. Add 3-8 oz. cans of tomato sauce, 1-8 oz. cans of water and the 10oz can of Original RoTel Tomatoes & Green Chilies (undrained).
  4. Stir in all of the Wick Fowlers ingredients except for the “red pepper” and “masa”
  5. For false-alarm, leave out all of the red pepper. For 1-alarm, use 1/2 of the red pepper packet. For 2-alarm, use the entire red pepper packet.
  6. Cover pot and simmer for 30 minutes (or longer for a spicier flavor). Stir occasionally.
  7. Stir “masa” flower into 1/4 cup of warm water to make a thick, but flow able mixture.
  8. Add the “masa” mixture, mix chili well then add the chili beans (undrained) and the bottle of Original Tabasco Chili Recipe. Mix well and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  9. Note; If the chili is too thin, in 1/2 cup of warm water, mix in 2 tablespoons of corn starch, then add the mixture to the chili and mix well. Cook for 10 more minutes
  10. Serve over rice.
