Diced Tomato Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 (14 1/2-15 oz) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 tsp basil
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • salt and pepper , to taste
  • 1 tbsp butter (optional)

Directions:

  1. Drain diced tomatoes slightly. Heat together with tomato or spagetti sauce in saucepan on medium heat.
  2. Stir in seasonings and butter. Simmer, stirring occasionally.
  3. Serve with your favorite spagetti, noodle or meatball recipe!
  4. Note: Try adding one small can of drained mushrooms with the tomatoes. Yummy!
