Creamy Austrian Rice With Peas and Onions (Quick)

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 tsp minced garlic
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 3/4 cup minute rice
  • 1/2 cup peas
  • 1/2 cup hellmann's mayonnaise

Directions:

  1. In small saucepan, melt butter and add chopped onions. Cook onions about 5 minutes til just tender.
  2. *Add garlic during the last minute.
  3. Add water and boullion and bring to a boil.
  4. Add rice, stir, put lid on and shut off heat.
  5. Let sit 5 minutes.
  6. Stir in mayo.
  7. Fold in peas.
  8. Wahlah! Easy as that!
  9. If you like it creamier, add more mayo!
  10. You can also add chopped parsley or a favorite herb.
  11. Serve with pepper if desired.
  12. Just think of this as a starting point for however you would like to make it! :).
  13. We like it as written, though. ;).
  14. And I like that it's all in one pan! LOL!
