Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease a 9 by 5 loaf pan.
  3. Sift together flour,sugar,baking powder, baking soda & salt.
  4. Using a pastry blender cut in shortening until coarse crumbs form.
  5. In a seperate bowl,combine orange juice,orange peel & egg.
  6. Make a well in the center of the dry ingrediants.
  7. Add egg mixture all at once,tossing with a fork until just moistened.
  8. Stir in nuts & cranberries.
  9. Spread batter in prepared pan.
  10. Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean,about 1 hour.
  11. Remove bread from pan;cool completly.
